Voice Dialogue
Voice Dialogue is a method to help us develop self-awareness. Created in the late 1970s by psychotherapists Drs Hal and Sidra Stone, it is a unique and powerful tool that allows us to experience different selves (or parts, or sub-personalities). It gives us a way of separating from them and observing them non-judgementally. By entering into a dialogue with these selves, we become aware of how they work and what messages they have for us We begin to see our situation from different perspectives. As a result, we can see the bigger picture and have access to more resources within us and so have real choice. With Voice Dialogue, you can get in touch with a multitude of inner selves, enabling you to live a richer and more fulfilling life from a position of conscious choices and real possibilities, rather than out of old, conditioned ways of operating. If you have ever felt in conflict with yourself... or thought: "a part of me wants this but another wants something else, then Voice Dialogue could really work for you. It is also a very useful tool to explore relationship difficulties.
I am a trained Voice Dialogue facilitator and when appropriate and with clients' permission, I can integrate this method within my work. I also offer stand-alone Voice Dialogue "Selves Awareness" sessions. Each session lasts for 90 minutes and costs £55. |
